Monsoon skincare routine!!!

Tip tip barsa pani....🎻(song from an indian film) Rainy season is finally here and giving us a break from those hot summer days, I'm loving it. But, not my skin though. Just like how seasons change, our skin changes its behavior accordingly. It is very important to take care of your skin by making some tweaks in your current skin care routine pursuant to the season.

These are my tips to manage your skin during monsoon☔

Day time routine:

1. During this time of the year, everyone tends to get wet in rain and we love that but not our skin. So, whenever you get wet in rain, make sure to cleanse your face thoroughly to avoid bacteria buildup.

Use very mild cleansers like cetaphil gentle skin cleanser or simple kind to skin cleanser

2. Use a gentle toner like kamaayurveda rose water to balance the PH of your skin.

3.It is clever to avoid thick moisturizers during monsoon. Instead, you can use gel based moisturizers.

Some great options are Neutrogena Hydro Boost, clinique surge and COSRX advanced snail cream

4.Use SPF no matter what season it is. You may think it is cloudy outside and you don't have to wear sunscreen but that is completely wrong. You will still be exposed to UV rays even during monsoon season.

Night time routine:

1.Follow the double cleanse method(if you don't know what double cleanse is , check my post on the same here).

Use a good cleansing oil like faceshop cleansing oil or suganda cleansing oil and then go in with your day time cleanser.

2.Use a clay mask once a week, the best one I've used so far is innisfree and even mamaearth c3 mask has some amazing ingredients.

Also, I use a DYI face mask when my skin is dry by mixing multani mitti with loads and loads of aloe Vera gel:)

2.Use a toner which is very mild like kamaayurveda rose water to balance the PH of your skin.

3.Exfoliating your skin during night time once a week is very important , I recommend going with chemical exfoliants(if you want to know more about chemical exfoliants, check my detailed post on the same here)  rather than using physical ones as physical exfoliants do more harm than good.

If you are beginners, I suggest using mild exfoliants like lactic acid or mandalic acid as they are more gentle.

If you are already used to chemical exfoliants then you can go for salicylic acid and glycolic acid.

5.It is clever to avoid thick moisturizers during monsoon. Instead, you can use gel based moisturizers.

Some great options are Neutrogena Hydro Boostclinique surge and COSRX advanced snail cream

And finally, stay hydrated even during monsoons and eat your greens.

I hope the post is helpful for your guys!!!!!!!!
